Day of the Tentacle (floppy version) with MT-32

Does ScummVM's MT-32 emulation need the patched or the original unpatched version of Tentacle.000 ?
Or does it matter?
I am using the floppy version of Day of the Tentacle.

I think you will need the patch if using the floppy version.
