Monkey Island 2 - copy protection

My Android phone doesnt have a physical keyboard, so I cant get through the copy protection. I tried to save a game in ScummVM on my PC and then copy the saved game to ScummVm on my Android phone, but it doesnt work - I cant load the game (it says: "invalid file"). Doeas anybody know how to work it out?

Did you try bringing up the virtual keyboard? There's some controls listed on here.

I made one myself because even WITH a virtual keyboard it's incredibly difficult to get keys to register at the copy protection screen. I'll grab that save I made and upload it.

Interesting point on this thread... virtual keyboard, on latest CM12s, not working on copy protection:
It's showed up.... but no imput it's been accepted by scummvm. I can hit "Enter" to stop the "Spin Down" but after that nothing input it's been accepted.... and i close virtual keyboard whit back button it's no more possibly to brick back on screen.

I have also tryed to hold down the menù button on my OnePlus ONE but nothing appened........... help

I was able to pass copy protection this way:

- download, install and set as default google keyboard from PlayStore;
- disable Predictive text;
- when copy protection starts use 'delete' key to stop animation;
- tap four numbers on keyboard.
