Here's a step by step process to get the needed files.
  1. Buy the game you want to play.
  2. Insert the CD into your computer.
  3. Copy files from CD to hard drive.
  4. Add game to ScummVM.
  5. Play!
See, it's easy! Note step number 1. And read the forum rules. When it says "READ BEFORE POST", that means you should read it before posting. Especially rule #0.

Ok, I got it .... I updated my post above ... sorry for that.

BTW: If you buy the game, then why would you need ScummVM ... I would simply install it and play .... correct?

From scummvm.org: "allowing you to play them on systems for which they were never designed". Old games designed for DOS generally don't run on Windows XP, Mac OS, Linux or mobile phones. ScummVM does.

Now, when you do get yourself a legal copy of a game, you don't have to copy all of the files from the floppy(s)/CD, just the ones in this list: http://www.scummvm.org/documentation.php?view=datafiles

Beneath a Steel Sky and Flight of the Amazon Queen can be downloaded from the ScummVM downloads page. Normally this wouldn't be allowed, of course, but the original copyright holders have granted permission for these two particular games.
