Zork Grand Inquisitor installation

I have the 2CD-Version of the game.
I have read http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Dataf ... Inquisitor

What means:

It's recommended to apply patch 1.2, but you may have to install the game normally for that, as the patch has its own installer

Should I install the game on hard disk first? Minimum or Maximum installation?
And then run the patch 1.2?
Then copy which files from hard disk into the game root directory for ScummVM?

Unclear. I would suggest Maximum.
