Hello,
If I remember correctly Birthstones puzzle in Kyrandia 1 is randomized every new game (at least on DOSBox).
But on ScummVM it seems that gems variation is randomized one time upon starting the very first game and then "locked" — certain gems' variation repeats for other new games.
Is it really a ScummVM feature like dialogues' speedups or is something wrong with my game build? I'm using original english ISO.

I don't know how it worked in the original game engine, but in ScummVM it seems to work like this:
- If I let the intro run uninterrupted, it randomizes the birth stones. This happens at the point where Brandon first enters.
- If I interrupt the intro, it randomizes the birth stones at the same scene, and shows the "Which game would you like to reload?" menu. If I start a new game, it apparently loads a savegame (automatically generated?) at the start of the game, so the birthstone data is restored from that.
