AA doesnt run under DOS
AA doesnt run under doxbox
AA runs poorly under windows

how poorly?
mouse is too fast
sound is bad
aspect ratio is wrong

why? AA is a win95 program and they removed the DOS EXE file

Then it won't be the first old Windows game that had trouble running on more recent versions of Windows; which is one reason why ScummVM is so cool . In fact, one of the games I'm working on right now, Starship Titanic, only works with certain compatibility kludges and full-screen only, and even then doesn't work for everyone due to third party libraries and video drivers.

I ran into a lot of problems running Discworld 2 on Windows XP. I got it to work and then I upgraded my graphics card and it gave me errors. It was a nightmare.

Then ScummVM announced support for it.
