Which games would you like to be supported on the future?

All the inane chatter goes in here. If you're curious about whether we will support a game, post HERE not in General Discussion :)

This would surely benefit from ScummVM.

My localized copy is so badly done and buggy that it was impossible to finish the game - I had to download a warez version in another language to be able to finish the game! :?

A big fat +1 vote from me.

Since this pearl was cancelled for Amiga back in the day i always wanted to play it.
I remember playing the Amiga demo and i absolutely adored i.
It was one of the killer games coming (not much going on anymore sadly)...and then it didn't :-/

edit: I was even in contact with the rights holder shortly, but he declined to open source the code for ScummVM because he was working on a iOS/Android release...guess it didn't work out.

Too bad. An iOS/Android release would be nice.

Hi,

Is there any chance of support for DGDS games (Rise of The Dragon, Adventures of Willy Beamish and The Heart Of China)?

All three are excellent adventure games, I can and I do play them trough DOSbox and or Mega Drive and Amiga emulators but would love to play in ScummVM.

Are there any other way to play DOS version, or is it only possible via DOSbox?

I am also very happy to see that Blade Runner support is being worked on. :D

Thanks

You may have to wait a little longer

Probably a lot longer. The most recent commit in that branch was in 2012, and that was the only commit that year.

Any update on Shivers 2? Would love to finally be able to play it with ease and see the origins of MetalJesusRocks lol

I personally would like to see some compatibility for Veil of darkness.

Apparently it uses a completely different game engine than the first Shivers game, so I'm not sure anyone's working on that at all. Though I've been wrong before.

Apparently somebody was working on it here:

+1 for this; I'd love to play this with voice-acting, it's an outstanding game and already supported for its PC version.

Also, I'd like to see Kingdom'O'Magic to be finished.

The Adventures of Hyperman (1995) [WINDOWS]

This game was an amazing educational game for kids. It only worked on Windows 3.x. It was given away for free with PCs with CD-Rom. I don't think it will ever be released on GOG or Steam since it was originally released non-commercially.

The game executable is only 26kb in size. All movies are stored on the CD in AVI format. I hope somebody from Scummvm team can reverse engineer it one day.

Not really a game, but Sierra made a screen saver once, Johnny Castaway (Or Screen Antics). Anyone know if it was based on SCI?

Johnny Castaway was not based on SCI (or AGI for that matter). It uses a proprietary screensaver, and this is also the reason it is not (yet) supported.
