Hello!
AFAIR there were ZIP-releases without an installer for previous releases of ScummVM. Even longer ago there was also a version for PortableApps. For the latest release I can not find a ZIP version and the version offered by PortableApps ist terribly outdated. Are there technical reasons for that, or is there simply no one to maintain these packages, or a lack of interest by the users, or...?
Thanks for a enlightenment!

You can unpack the installer using Innounp. It was so much nicer back when they wrote the installer with NSIS instead of Inno Setup since you can easily open those with just 7-zip.

Hi there,
having a .zip release sounds like a good idea. I'll see what I can do about this. I doubt that the PortableApps version will be back soon...
EDIT: Check out https://www.scummvm.org/downloads again

When I download a daily build I just choose the install directory (on my portable HDD) and then choose not to add it to the Start Menu. It basically "unzips" and that's it.

GREAT that zip returned.
It should have never left.
