Myst ME (GOG) - Can't select spanish language on GUI

Post by vanfanel »

Hi there,

Back when Scummvm started supporting Myst ME, I went and bought it from GOG.
The game is in spanish, among other languages.
Today, I re-added the game in Scummvm, and I can't select it's language on the GUI: I have to force language=es in the scummvm.ini entry for the game.

Things seem to be in-place regarding the game data: stone.dat has it's equivalent stone_spanish.dat, etc... same with all the files.

So, is there a problem with the GUI for language selection these days?
I am using latest ScummVM from github.

I am using latest ScummVM from github.
I'm seeing two different behaviors.

With the latest stable (Windows 2.1.2), the game presents me with selection of language when adding the game and only then. I cannot change the language for this game entry via the GUI's "Edit Game..." after that. I have to add the game again in ScummVM and select another language at that time.

With the latest daily snapshot (https://www.scummvm.org/frs/daily/scumm ... -win32.exe) the behavior is different. The game is added without additional prompt and then it allows me to change the language from the GUI (through "Edit Game..."). This initially offered me only a selection of the 5 supported languages but in subsequent tries it lists a lot more languages (all the ScummVM theme languages perhaps?), of which of course only the 5 supported actually affect the language of the game.
