Daily Build?

Post by ezekiel000 »

I wanted to try out the new gui but when I went to download the latest daily build I found that most of them haven't been updated since the 3rd the mac one even longer.

I thought that they were triggered automatically every night?

mac build is handled manually. There is issue related snow leopard and sdl. sdl support only 32 bit compilation. So residual need be forced into 32 bit. By default system use 64-bit, I need adopt to allow force 32 bit compilation into configure script, then I'll do build update.

The debs still don't seem to be triggered & built automatically (I really want to play with the new gui :D )

Thanks, I assumed you used buildbot (isn't that what ScummVM uses?)

Strangely the modern gui wasn't included in the build you just triggered, which is strange as I saw it added to the svn a couple of days ago.

I did try that, I also noticed this in the terminal:
ezekiel@alice:~$ residual
Using joystick: HID 6666:0667
WARNING: Could not find theme 'modern' falling back to builtin!

I thought this maybe useful to know:
ResidualVM 0.0.6svn1613 (Oct 14 2009 13:49:51)
Features compiled in: Vorbis FLAC MP3 zLib

I checked /usr/games/residual and the modern.zip is there.
I also tried deleting my .residualrc file to see if that helped but no luck.

Work fine now thanks, the modern theme looks good.

I decided to start with a clean install and re-added Grim Fandango and I noticed it labels it as DOS/English, it should be Windows/English or just English as it wasn't released on any other platform.

Nice modern theme! It wasn't included in the latest install, so I just copied it out of the source code into my residual folder.

Great improvement for this new front-end !

Now the project is getting mature, how about a PPA for Ubuntu users ?
