Hi everyone, I'm a professional software engineer and long time fan of Grim Fandango. I'd like to offer my help with as much time I can give to the project as possible.
I have 10 years development experience with a solid base in C++/C#/.NET. I have experience with OpenGL and XNA. I'm willing to learn any and all tools/languages the project might need e.g. Lua etc.
What I would like is for a project developer to help me get started on the basics of the project so I can get to know where everything is. I can pick it up from there. I tried to look for a similar thread but I couldn't find it so I apologize if this is a redundant question. Also please post a link to the code documentation, if any.
I'd like to help perfect ResidualVM for a stable win release. However my main focus is to port ResidualVM for handheld devices such as PSP and more recently the iPad.
Thanks for help.

That sounds good but (and I'm speaking not as one of the devs but just as the first responder) I think the offer is better made by going to the project page http://sourceforge.net/projects/residual/. Click on 'Develop' and then, under 'Links you may need', click on 'Send a request to join this project'.

You are free to contribute patches to project using patch tracker.
You need learn first how game engine generally works from user and developer point of view. Then we can talk about more specific things.
