don't know anything about any of this, but i was wondering if Blade Runner's a possibility?
the engine uses voxels against pre rendered backgrounds...
Blade Runner?

The "residual is hungry for new engines" doesn't mean we are searching new engines to do, it means we are searching new people interested in working on a new engine. I, for one, don't have any interest in working on anything else than Grim Fandango.
If you feel like working on it that's good news, but i don't think there's any current developer interested in that right now.
p.s. i'm saying this as a general thing, i don't know what Blade Runner is.

Blade Runner has been brought up several times on the ScummVM boards (http://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=1549) and it would seem that while it is within the scope of ResidualVM it has most of its logic hard coded. That means it would (most likely) take a lot more work to bring support for the game into ResidualVM than what the Grim engine has taken.
