I am very aware that MI4 is not playable at this poitn and had a long way to go. that said, I saw the data files for it were listed on the data file page, so i figured I might as well gt the game data files prepped so that one day when the game is playable I can mess around.
I copied all the files from both CD's and found that the the "voiceAll.m4b" file is on both CD1 and CD2, but has a different size on each disc.
This is also the case with the "FullMonkeyMap.imt" in the Textures directory.
Should the files be renamed like the voice files in Discworld for ScummVM? Is there another trick? Is only one necessary?
I know this is a premature question, but I was just curious.
Thanks.

IIRC, the voiceAll on CD2 is a superset of the one on CD1. Same probably holds true for fullMonkeyMap.
That said, I wouldn't worry about CD2 in a loooong time. By disabling a lot of stuff, you can currently get to the current points:
Demo:
First background after movie (movie doesn't play).
PS2:
"Press Start" - screen.
So basically, nowhere at all.
