Grim Fandango Bug? Wheelbarrow controlling
Hi,
first to say, the current release (I used a nighty build) is awesome, not much glitches, works like a charm.
Now I'm out in the forrest with that marrow-pump where I have to balance the machine.
I can take up the wheelbarrow, but I can't move it left or right, just forward and backward.
Am I doing something wrong?
Did experience someone the same problem?

Found that out now, but I have another problem.
In Year 2, the forklift.
I read in a few walkthroughs, that the forklift-stop could fail in case you 're having a too fast computer. ResidualVM should have solved that, I think.
Now, I'm using the right slot (where the gatter is open) and I cna't hold the elevator.
Anyone knows if this is a bug or am I too slow?
I tried it for 20 times now, I can't get it to work.
I need the forklift to stop the elevator in the right moment. I'm positioned right before the right gap (there are 2 gaps, left and right), but when I put the forklift forward, nothing happens, I just arrive on the on the other floor.
Anyone have an idea?
Maybe this could be made easier through ResidualVM with some additional code. This is really a very annoying spot in the game. I completed it years ago with my original german copy, don't remember that part, but I finished the game, so it must be possible

That's a bug in the game, which was solved with the patch released by Lucasarts. If you have a windows installation of grim simply install it and copy the files over to the residual grim directory. Otherwise you need to use patchex from the repo residual-tools.
Just for all others with the same problem:
It worked like a charm!
Compiled patchex, used it on the Gfupdate101.exe file and put the files into grimdata.
Now it works.

I use the manipulator in Manny's bureau. The police guy loses when I push the magnet button when the light on the right table is on. He says "this is an outrage!" bla bla bla.
But he doesn't close my casino. Why?
Did I not complete something?

If he said "this is an outrage" etc...then there is a possible chance that you haven't completed all the other tasks necessary before you can get him to close down the casino...because under normal circumstances, when you've done all the necessary tasks up to that point, pressing the magnet button when it gets to Bogens table should lead straight to a cut-scene where he shuts down the club.
As was mentioned by someone else...did you do all the tasks to free Terry from Jail (which gets the tools for Glottis)? Did you do all the tasks needed to get the Union card? Did you make sure to do all that tasks necessary to convince Velasco that Naranja won't show up?
