EMI... on Floppies?

Post by somaen »

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Escape-Monkey ... 500wt_1156 I guess someone had a bit of time on their hands, and a need for a quick buck.

Mhh...
The picture shows 6 disks, they can hold up to 1200 KB each, so the whole game should be about 7 MB.
I can figure out it lacks any sound...
Anyway, I never heard of this floppy release, so I assume it is rare enough for asking at least 100 times that much :-)

Well, my single-density 5,25s back in the day could hold around 160 KB, which should fit Guybrush almost entirely on a single floppy. Makes for a bit of disk-swapping in that case, but hey, there's a charm to that ;)

As a side-note, the "Loading"-screen from the PS2-version is 1,2 MB.

Since CDs were the standard by 2000, I'm pretty sure the seller is a fraud banking on the stupidity of other people. He should go far in either business or politics.

Heh, well, the floppies, as well as the box looks like it's simply a printout too :P
