In http://wiki.residualvm.org/index.php/Datafiles#Myst_3 one point is missing. I also had to copy the file LANGUAGE.m3u into the directory of Myth 3. I own a DVD-Version (Myst III Exile) - perhaps it isn't necessary when using the CD-version!?!
The game also starts with the original M3.exe. The one from the mentioned patch isn't working with the geman version. Instead I also got the game working with MYST III: EXILE - PATCH 1.72 (448 KB) VON 1.22 (PC) from http://www.ubi.com/DE/Games/Info.aspx?p ... oad&dcId=3 Perhaps the patch isn't required when using the DVD?
Regards
Edit: A list of the files from DVD can be found here: http://paste.debian.net/160868/

I had a similar problem using the Myst 10th Anniversary DVD release of Myst3. The language files are stored in individually-named Language directories as in march's listing, except the .m3us for each are named simply language.m3u. Copying the corresponding file from the English directory and renaming it to English.m3u was sufficient. No other changes were necessary (nor was using a patched .exe).
I have the English 4-CD version of Myst 3, and I can't get ResidualVM to recognize it at all. I've tried putting the m3a files in the same directory as the M3.exe, tried them in a separate /data subdirectory, tried the English, German, and French M3.exe, put the folders from M3Data one level above, and so on. My version doesn't seem to have any m3u language files, by the way.
Can anyone tell me how ResidualVM expects my files to be organized - or maybe I'm missing something else? Thanks!
