No need, you can simply cheat your way there, by adding
game_devel_mode=true in your residualvm-settings file (residualvm.ini/.residualvmrc/ResidualVM Preferences, see the Readme for where to find it), and then using the jump-commands to get where you want:

Ctrl-G lets you pick from the sets, and just moves Manny there, while J puts you at a specific point in the game (Jump Point) with the items you need to solve a puzzle).
The Years don't share any items between them, so either jumping to the set cl, or possibly the jumptarget shanghai2 would get you were you want.
