Did you do it like I told you? Or did you use another method?

When you start up ResidualVM, a console window is opened. Try to add the game on the main window, and the console will read the MD5. Please try that, and tell us the contents of that message, the whole message.

Here's a version compiled from another branch, which means bugs reported from this unofficial build (WPT_BRA-nomyst) must be marked as such.

Download it from here and try it out.

And please provide information whether the game worked with this executable.

Yes, sorry about that, I kind of mixed the threads up, for some reason thinking that your thread was the first post of this thread (since they were both on the exact same topic).

I used MD5Summer to create hashes for every file in the directory. I then used md5check to make sure I got the same results twice.

I attempted to use the version you posted and it still says the same error message as my original post:
{"VOX0001.LAB", 0, "89da4d4f4f90a8ea390450ed5a617f08", 57875710},

I'm not sure I understand why the md5 I am generating is different from the one scummvm is apparently detecting?

MD5ing the first 5000 bytes like ResidualVM does (to avoid having to read a HUGE file just for detection) gives a different result than MD5ing the entire file.

I'm not sure which of the two you did.

EDIT: I don't have a Windows machine easily available, so I can't verify, but if the unofficial build includes the changes it should, then it matches the MD5-warning you posted in your latest post, and SHOULD detect just fine.

Because that's my fault, I seem to have uploaded a compiled version of the original, not the modified version I talked about above.
Try it out now:

Download it from here.

Sorry for the inconvenience everyone.

Both 0.1.0 and the nightly now have this detection added, so you should be able to use the official builds now.

Cheers
@scoriae & @macacom I think it'd be best if you downloaded and use one of the official builds somaen mentioned now, as these are the ones being actually and actively developed.

yep! I've been playing the English version now, It doesn't have the same impact that portuguese version had for me (and I don't like translated games) but Grim Fandango was just perfect with the portuguese voices...

And i haven't post the MD5 'cause i really don't have that kind of knowledge to do it : / srry mates

Well, scoriae provided us the needed information, if you download ResidualVM again now, Portuguese Grim Fandango should work just fine.
