Hello forum! :D Here is the HD model of Manny Calavera in Grim Fandango. Can you please guide me on how to edit the 2 "datausr.lab" to include the translation as well? Thanks!

*update* A user from the official Greek translation thread made this but he is not sure if it's ok. I will try it but can you check it with your tools and confirm? Thanks!

Unpacking/editing has mostly been covered in the Deluxe thread, in short, you'd need either unlab and mklab from residualvm-tools, or bgbennyboy's Resource File Creator and Dumper, he's even got a Grim Dialog Editor.

The datausr.lab is essentially a container which takes priority above the other *.lab files, so whatever you put in it will be used instead of the original content. I'm not sure how and where subtitles are stored though, so I don't know which files you'd need.

EDIT: Forgot to add, in order to actually use the datausr.lab you'd need to enable it from the GUI: Edit Game -> Engine -> Load user patch (unsupported).

Hello,

Im trying to convert new Polish translation into datausr.lab but something seems to don't work. I tired two ways:
1) using mklab from residualvm-tools
2) using Resource File Creator And Dumper by Bgbennyboy
The effect is the same - ResidualVM stops respodning at running the game.
Even when I tried to repack the old, working translation Grim stops responding.

I would appreciate if someone would do this to me correctly.
You can download files here.

Greetings

Edit: already I dealt with it
