giucam wrote:Mddy, the pre-patched ones you posted are not actually prepatched. The sum of data000.lab is the unpatched one.

It's the 2007 version that has the patch included (and also works on modern Windows versions out of the Box), but apparently the patch is applied, as if it was installed separately.
How/Where was the pre-patched English version distributed?

By the way, the 2007 version doesn't come with the nasty copy protection. The unprotected DATA003.LAB still has the junk data from 1A572FD-24572FC, that's why it it produces a different checksum.

You are not supposed to apply the patch and delete the exe afterwards, you are supposed to keep the exe-file in the data-directory.

But it doesn't make sense to patch if I need to keep the patch after patching. Or is there additional data inside the exe file? (Well, even then it still doesn't make sense to patch because ResidualVM applies the patch automatically)

What I meant was, you're not meant to apply the patch at all, you're meant to just put the gfupd101.exe-file in the gamedata directory. ResidualVM will read the relevant data from that file. (This is done so intentionally, to allow ResidualVM to be reasonably sure that it's getting the updated versions of the files, and not the 1.00-data.) Incidentally it also removes any requirement of having to be able to run .exe-files for the end-user, thus allowing mac and linux-users to play Grim Fandango in ResidualVM without the need of a Windows/Wine-setup to get started.

Game: Myst III
Language: Multiple
Version: DVD - Version 1.27 for Windows 95 / 98 / ME / XP, Mac OS 8.1 or 9.1 or OS 10.1

The game in '/recalbox/share/roms/scummvm/Myst 3 - Exile.scummvm' seems to be unknown.
Please, report the following data to the ResidualVM team along with name
of the game you tried to add and its version, language, etc.:

{"RSRC.m3r", 0, "a2c8ed69800f60bf5667e5c76a88e481", 1223862},
{"ENGLISH.m3t", 0, "74726de866c0594d3f2a05ff754c973d", 3407120},

Ah, i see, nice.

You should raise a topic on the Issue tracker.

That way it won't get lost in the forums...albeit there is pretty little noise in general lately.
