Hi all,
When I load Grim Fandango in either ResidualVM or using the 1.5 Launcher from any installation via third party installers I cannot get it to run in full screen, only windowed mode.
When I try to initiate full screen mode the background will stay the same size as in windowed mode (the rest of the screen blacked out) but the characters will appear in full screen size.
I have obviously found the .ini file and manually changed all the fullscreen false values to true. This has had no effect.
I have also tried changing my resolution, setting the resolution in the compatability tab and pretty much every other option.
My system is 32 bit Windows 7 pro.
I previously had Grim running perfectly on another system.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Full screen Issues
Which version of ResidualVM are you running?
Can you show a screenshot?
Can you run other games with a 640x480 resolution in full screen mode?

Re: Full screen Issues
Hello thanks for your reply,
I can run Logical Journey of the Zoombinis in 640x480 in full screen using windows compatability settings.
I downloaded ResidualVM 2 days ago so I assume it is the current version.
Printscreen doesn't seem to be working, I must need a screenshot program. I'll get back to you with that.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Full screen Issues
We offer two versions of ResidualVM for download: 0.1.1 and "nightly builds", which reflect the current state of development.
Please try both; if one works and the other doesn't we can try to identify your problem.

Hi,
Can you please direct me to the nightly builds - are they the same as the daily builds on the downloads page?
0.1.1 is the version I have installed at the moment.

Re: Full screen Issues
Ok thanks.
I have installed the windows daily build.
In 0.1.1 where the background clipping occurs in full screen mode, the visible part of the background is the correct resolution but remains the same dimensions as the windowed mode.
In the daily build the background and character resolution remains the same as in windowed mode and plays in bottom left hand corner, the rest of the screen is blacked out as usual.
I'll try and get a screenshot to illustrate.
Thanks.

Re: Full screen Issues
Right I think I actually have some scaling issue as other games are not actually displaying correctly as I previously thought. They appear as a small box in the middle of the screen.
Not sure why this is happening but it's not the fault of ResidualVM.
I set a custom resolution on my video card options to 640x480 and the game plays in full screen except I get odd white frames blanking out either parts or the whole or the screen.
Do I have problems with my video card?
