EFMI savegames in ResidualVM 0.8.0

will the savegames saved in ResidualVM 0.8.0 be upward compatible to future ResidualVM versions?

Do you mean 0.3.0? (the daily builds)
The save file format has not been bumped for a while, so you can assume it will not change between now and an eventual release.
