I've looked for HELP, and found no Joy.
Is there a way to include (or attach) a screenshot on this forum?
Change Log:
1 - Set "Notify me when a reply is posted" -- Why does this default to OFF? (Yes, I found the User Control Panel setting. but still...)
2 - Added this Change Log.
Screenshot?

Re: Screenshot?
Yes, there is, and it's right on top of when you add a new post "Img"

Re: Screenshot?
That doesn't insert an image. It inserts the URL of an image. I have no URL. I have an image on my hard disk.Raziel wrote:

And when the free filehoster deletes your image because 'x' days have transpired, then what?Raziel wrote:Well, it doesn't work then, eccept uploading your image to some free filehoster and link it from there
Re: Screenshot?
In the spirit of hostility: use a paid filehoster.
That aside, even though phpBB (the forum software being used here) has this feature in newer iterations, the forum obviously does not allow for this feature. Possibly because it's running an older version of the software, or more likely because it's been intentionally disabled.
ResidualVM is licensed under several licences, and most, if not all of it is open source and therefore (in a broad sense of the word) free.
File and image hosting take space, and by extension: money.
Maintaining and developing these products is being done by individuals that are likely not operating on a dividend or salary, but rather on their own time and resources.
Not to mention that it is the same forum software that the sister/parent ScummVM project uses, which I would assume needs to be kept in sync, to a point.
The same image/attachment functionality applies there.
Lastly, I'd like to add that I am not a ResidualVM developer, nor a part of staff.
My opinions are my own.
Is it not possible that the same applies to a free forum?markfilipak wrote:And when the free filehoster deletes your image because 'x' days have transpired, then what?

Re: Screenshot?
Yes, that can happen only if the image has copyrights. In case of screenshots from your personal system, you won't be have any issues like that. You can use sites like "imgur", which rarely delete images. I am just a newbie but I do have personal experience in this type of stuff. Thank you!markfilipak wrote:And when the free filehoster deletes your image because 'x' days have transpired, then what?Raziel wrote:Well, it doesn't work then, eccept uploading your male extra image to some free filehoster and link it from there
