I think I have found the cause of my problem.
My problem came from this:

I uninstalled this software and updated the graphics card driver.
Scummvm works:

Can you provide more detailed information on the issue?
Does this happen in the launcher, in a particular game and/or in every game?
Was the mouse as slow in the previous version of ScummVM on your system?

No, I had no problem with the old versions.
I managed to get Scummvm to launch (thanks to your help). But, the mouse is slow in small window and freezes when I do "alt + enter (for full screen)".
I tried with Monkey Island 1 and it is same. I have same problem.

I am not able to reproduce this issue with 2.5.0 on my PC. It could be some configuration setting that is responsible for the slowness, but off-hand I cannot know which one it could be. I would try toggling the graphics mode (between OpenGL and SDL Surface) and avoid any additional complex scalers (so just use "Normal" "2x", or "3x" etc).

I filed a ticket about the mouse getting stuck in fullscreen mode. https://bugs.scummvm.org/ticket/13075

I also found that switching the graphics mode to SDL Surface fixed the issue for me. Thanks for the tip!
