I heard that scummvm now supports this game (see topic title). How would I go about running this on Scumm VM ? I have no idea... I do have the original disc / files.

rapattack: Not exactly. If a game is "supported" or at least ready for testing, it would be announced on https://www.scummvm.org/.
That game uses the Director engine which is still in very significant development:

You can try this by copying the datafiles from your original disc and then trying to detect this with a nightly development build:

However, please bear in mind this will likely crash, fail to work or otherwise be buggy as hell since still in development.
