Discworld 2 - Dean does not speak with me!

Hi there,
Now play the next discworld game and have problems with a bug again. The Dean playing in the garden of the University cricket is not talking to Rincewind. When I click the Dean, the mouse pointer disappears, the animations go on, otherwise nothing comes. No speech icons, no text, nothing! I have let it run a while without something done. I think it's a bug. What can I do to play?

I think I have seen that bug before during playtesting a few releases back. I think it may be a sync / race issue in the original scripts, but hard to tell. If I recall correctly, you may be able to work around by leaving the scene, re-entering and then doing the conversation, but do not skip any dialogue since that is known to cause issues with the TINSEL engine.

The re-entry into the scene has worked. I left the screen and started again. Then the Dean talked to me! Thank you!!!
