Can't find required data files for running Tony Tough

Post by pncFreak »

I have tried to check the Wiki, where required files were supposed to be listed - but I can't find any listing of necessary files for running Tony Tough.

Could anyone point me in the right direction?

It is listed as supported, and I do not want to fill storage space on my Android phone with files that aren't required for running the game.

Thank you for your kind help Raziel :-)
I found another thread where you had tried a daily build with files, music and voices and tested your file setup from that thread. It worked perfectly. :-D

I kept:
The cab-files:
_sys1.cab
_user.cab
data1.cab

All *.ADP-files:
Moved contents of "Music" folder to games root.

Kept the rest of the *ADP-files in their folders one level under games root (due to similar naming of the files).
That is: folders "utilsfx" and "Layer".

From the "Roasted" folder:
roasted.MPC
roasted.MPR
roasted.MPU

moved them to games root.

From the Voices folder:
Moved VOICES.VDB to games root

Kept the *.dat-files.
lang.dat, os.dat (Unsure whether they are required. Found no other *.dat-files.)

Tested the game.
Music and voices functions fine.
Did not detect any problems during my short gameplay in the first few rooms in Tough's basement.

I have no idea about the function of the *.adp-files in the "Layer" and "utilsfx" folders, but they amounted to 3-4 MB - so I kept them just to be sure.
