Bud Tucker

Post by budtuck »

Hello,

I am playing Bud Tucker on my LG P990 and it worked fine until part 2 there you are supposed to walk down a corridor to reach a kitchen. I get the text in the bottom of the screen "Walk down the corridor" but when I click nothing happens.

I took my CD and played on ScummVM on PC and there the same scene worked just fine.

Anyone that knows about this and maybe even better how to get pass it? Since I could start the game and play for some time I assume installation is correct.

I am using 1.4.1 on PC and Android

I tried playing agin the other day. Loaded the game at the position I previously was stuck and suddenly it worked!

But you are never allowed to be happy. Later in the game I want to go back to that location and again the same problem.

This seems to be a problem with scummvm or my mobile, that there is no working "hotspot" in the bottom of the game screen.

Anyone that has an idea how to get it working? I have no idea why it suddenly worked for a while.

Hi, I am experiencing the same issue on Bud Tucker Double Trouble in Polish on macOS.

I looked through the forum and known issues database but found no solution.

Is there any way to work around it?

Please open a ticket on the bug tracker about this so that we can properly investigate and try and resolve it.
https://docs.scummvm.org/en/latest/help ... _bugs.html

Include a saved game near the spot(s) where this issue seems to happen and try to be as detailed as possible (what version of ScummVM are you testing with, which platforms have you tested on).

Also if you're not using the latest version of ScummVM (currently 2.8.1), please test with that first.

Thank you. As I've just written there, I can also see this bug on recent version of our Android app (either using a physical mouse or the touch interface).

It does not seem to be there on the Windows version of ScummVM.

I see that a PR with the fix is already merged with master (I wish my company moved with fixes so quickly). Thank you! :)

However when I try to download daily build from https://buildbot.scummvm.org/#/dailybuilds for arm64 and x86_64 macOS I get the message that the package is corrupted.

What can be a cause of this?

The fix will be part of tomorrow's daily build. Current daily build does not include it.

Also please make sure you are downloading from the "latest branch master" column.

If it is still corrupted then that should be reported to the porters for Mac OS, or it could be posted on Discord since it might be a known issue.

Just to confirm, today's daily ("ef75492c") does contain the fix for this issue.
