Hi, I recently installed ScummVM v2.8.1 in Fedora 40 using the Software app via Flathub.
I have used Shaders in the Windows version before and wanted to use them in Fedora, but the option is greyed out.
I was wondering if anyone would know why this is the case?

Shaders are applicable only for the OpenGL graphics mode. If you're in SurfaceSDL, then this is normal. Could you please check?

Thanks Eugene, I tried this and a few other video modes but unfortunately there wasn't a combination that enabled the shader options.
This is the store listing in the Software program
I also tried the RetroArch core, current version is 2.8.0 I think, shaders work fine but the older version has some audio/video sync issues with Muppet Treasure Island.Re: Shaders greyed out in v2.8.1 using Fedora 40 via Flathub
Then it might happen that that version of ScummVM is not compiled with libcurl. That makes this functionality not possible.

Aha, thanks Eugene.
Do you know if there are any plans for an appimage version of ScummVM?

If anyone still has this problem, you have to select OpenGL, then click Apply, and then you'll have the shader options enabled

edit: Never mind. Now it works on Flatpak
