SiS on-board? That is a complete show stopper
If you have ANY expansion slots on that board you can get something under 40 euro to hold you over till your next PC purchase. You can still get cheapo AGP and even PCI cards with Nvidia or ATI chips.
Then, slap an XP/Linux multiboot on the thing and you will have a somewhat decent game platform and workstation without spending much.
How to get grim working!

I do have a GeForce2 (MX - I think) lying about somewhere. I've had a look before and maybe I'm not looking in the right places but I've never found any web sites that lay it out clearly so you can compare on-board graphics with graphic cards. The GeForce 2 is almost 10 years old I imagine. The mobo with the SiS cheap was purchased new 5 years ago.
I know the SiS will be using my RAM whilst the GeForce2 has it's own (64MB!- passive cooling) but I'd really like to see some sort of chart with every type of graphics hardware which would make it easy to locate the 2 types I have and compare. Or any other 2 types so you can compare them.
Do you know what shader model Tales.. uses? The Radeon 9600 pro I have is 2.0. It passes the Vista aero-face test.
At the moment I think all my spare money will be going on the Xbox 360 until next year. One of my best mates comes to visit a lot during the winter and we play on the 360 system-link. It's optical drive broke at the start of this year and it's not under warranty. Then I'll have to get some games for it.
I've just spent £45 on new ink for my printer as I had to print a UPS label for it. It's all boxed now ready to go to Duitsland.
I got the ink cartridges in an office supplies shop near me. If I lived somewhere with a PC shop I think I could of got a new printer for the same price.
As much as I'd prefer to spend the money on PC components like I say he's a good friend which makes it worth it.
It will be the new year before I can start thinking about buying anything else. Maybe/hopefully there will be a Telltale announcement by then. A Xbox360 disc version of all 5 episodes would be great.
Ultimately I need to start again with a PC. The 3GHz PC has old technologies. No PCI-express, no SATA.
