To be honest, I consider Vista a step forward, plus they've fixed and added a lot of little things that makes it a much better OS than XP (which is almost 6 years old now). Yes, UAC is annoying but you can disable it. But it's still a personal choice, plus a really long discussionRetrogamer wrote:...and that's why I'm still holding off on upgrading to Vista.

I'm really just waiting until I upgrade my hardware a bit. I'd love to use DirectX10, but my hardware is not up to snuff just yet. Plus, they have all those different Vistas right now. I'm content having a fully featured XP rather than a bare-bones Vista. Not that I really like Windows systems at all, but I need it for work right now.md5 wrote:To be honest, I consider Vista a step forward, plus they've fixed and added a lot of little things that makes it a much better OS than XP (which is almost 6 years old now). Now, once OpenOffice has full support for every format, and some better audio editing software comes along, I'll switch back over to something nice and secure like Linux
You should try a Mac. I did, and now I hate my PC (Doesn't mean I don't use it for games...)md5 wrote:To be honest, I consider Vista a step forward, plus they've fixed and added a lot of little things that makes it a much better OS than XP (which is almost 6 years old now). Those new dual core processor macs can dual boot OSX and Windows, right? I've been considering that route.md5 wrote:Bleh Beware of Mac brainwash!clone2727 wrote:You should try a Mac.
