whatever man. my attitude has nothing to do with how well residual comes along.

people are nearly shitting themselves in anticipation of sci and it's not like magic fairies are suddenly showing up and taking care of the coding simply due to all the excited people.

Id go so far as to say most of the excited people end up making comments that simply annoy the devs, such as prelim bug reports, asking when a certain game will be playable or why another game is not playable.

In regards to residual specifically, people have been hitting this forum up for years asking about either Grimm or MI4 support. My attitude is based on the simple fact that in the 6 or so years i have been following scumm, from the first time I ever heard of residual I haven't seen it develop forward.

Mind you, that doesn't bother me - since there is so much progress being made here in the scummvm world. But sending people to a relatively dead forum to talk about grim is just plain naive, and so is pretending that my comment's "attitude" has any bearing what-so-ever on the progress of the project.

Well, it's been booming lately, current state is "nearly completable", with only a few puzzles in Year 4 blocked.

As a matter of fact, I just completed a playthrough, needing only a few debugjumps in the endgame.

The latest version can be found on github these days.
