2 Discs with ScummVM (Curse of Monkey Island)
Moderator: ScummVM Team
hi,
i recently found a heap of my old (old old) games and getting them to work has led me to using this program. I've copied the resource folder from both discs and other necessary files and i can get the game running but at the start of curse of monkey island when i use the cannon to capsize the ship and am in the room with all the treasure as soon as i try to look/use anything i get the following error:
Console is ready
Debugger started, type 'exit' to return to game
TYpe 'help' to see a little list of commands and variables
ERROR:(12:343:0x1941):BundleMgr::loadCompTable() Compressedsound 2827(voxdisk.bun:106996538) Invalid(â.SH)
I hope i have the right forum for this issue!

That error sounds odd... there shouldn't be a voxdisk.bun, there should be a voxdisk1.bun and voxdisk2.bun though.shanzo wrote:hi,

This should probably be in its own topic in the "Help and Support" forum as I don't think it relates to the fact that it is a 2 CD game. All I can think of is that it may be a problem caused by you compressing the audio files, or a general problem in the interpreter's code caused by a change that was made in the latest SVN build.
Are you using an SVN build or 1.0.0rc1? If you don't know then you are probably using the latter.
Also, you could look at the link I gave in the last page, just to make sure the files are all set out correctly:

EDIT: I just tried it out with the current SVN build and I didn't seem to encounter this problem.
my apoligies as it was voxdisk1.bun
1.0.0rc1 i think, i got the program from the download page under "1.0.0rc1 Release binaries" under windows installer. I havent compressed any audio files(that i know of!)
i checked your link and all my files are the same incl the file sizes.
Thank you so much for your help.

If you mean your old savegames outwith ScummVM then I'm afraid that they are incompatible with ScummVM so you will need to start again. If you are asking how to save your game or load your game then you need to press F5 to access the menu.oxsi wrote:so i did the same way copied the files but where can i get my save games?
I hope this answers your question.

Have you tried all of this:Arm80 wrote:I have copied comi.la0 and comi.la1 from disc 1 and comi.la2 from disc 2, plus there is the resource folder, with resources from both discs.

If so I would be interested to know why it isn't working because I would like to add the solution to the topic.
I don't think that will make any difference, that guide was written using a PC with XP home SP3. I hope you manage to solve this problem because I must admit that I am baffled.Arm80 wrote:Yes, I found your sticky and followed it, checking I had the same files. Just so you know I have XP home with SP3.
EDIT: Out of curiosity could I please just ask if you have managed to use other ScummVM games in the past? (Having saved the files onto your hard drive of course, and not running off of a CD)
