Any ideas how to speed up the game on a C64? Can you make it load faster?
What I mean is: ScummVM speeds the Atari, Amiga and C64 versions, because at native speed they are quite slow.
You mentioned speeding up the Amiga. What about the C64? Anything one can do?
So yea, talking about a real C64, not emulation.
Amiga Versions that are superior?

There is an easyflash version, which basically puts the complete game on a cartridge eliminating the need for the slow disk access.Mau1wurf1977 wrote:Any ideas how to speed up the game on a C64? Can you make it load faster?
There is also a Neoram version, which preloads the entire game.
There is the Chameleon cartridge. Only few games would run better with turbo, though, as many of them were optimized for the very specific C64 timing. The Chameleon can do much more than this, though.Mau1wurf1977 wrote:You mentioned speeding up the Amiga. What about the C64? Anything one can do?
You should find all the details in c64 related forums.

Dunno about adventure games... but definitely can name a few non-adventure games that Amiga kicked ass over other platforms:
James Pond games, like Aquatic Games. (it had the nice water reflections)
Lemmings Amiga seemed sharper than PC (PC was so pixelated).
Simpson games

MI2 came out in 1991. So games before 1991, Amiga versions were better....
if that was true, watch out for CD re-releases or FM Town versions!
