Not only an official HDD is compatible with PS2, as you may see at http://ps2drives.x-pec.com/?p=list
ScummVM for PS2 has already support for files in the Hard Disk, but the program itself only loads the .IRX modules from the optical unit.
I think it would be great if the program could load itself from HDD.

I would be interested in trying to help with the PS2 port in order to get it working from the HD or MC, not just CD. This would allow people without a modded PS2 to use the Indepence Exploit to launch ScummVM (which is what I would use). I haven't done any programming in a few years, but I'd be happy to toy around with the PS2 version. I can't seem to find the source code though. I hope I haven't simply overlooked it somewhere on the site.
