Gobliiins ios version?

Post by pezhead53 »

I am trying to play the iOS release of Gobliiins in ScummVM. The game seems to run fine, but ScummVM says the CD audio tracks are missing. I copied over everything in the .ipa file, but to no avail. Just curious if anyone had any tips, or I'm stuck in silence for this version.

Can you use pastebin or similar to paste the list of files in the ipa? They probably need to be named something else and/or transcoded.

forgive my amateurism, but I'm not sure what information you need, do you want just the file names, or the contents of the files?

Just the file names.
I can give more detailed instructions if you tell me what operating system you are using.

Go to the directory where the game files are. Select the directory name from the address bar and copy.
Open cmd.exe
Type cd and then paste the directory name.
For example
cd c:\games\mygame

Then type in dir /s > list.txt
This should create a file called list.txt in there.
Open it via notepad, select all, copy.
Go to pastebin.com and click create a new paste.
Paste the contents of the files in there. You will get a URL with your paste. Post that URL here

Hopefully that was detailed enough. Let me know if you have problems.

You need to rename track1_24.mp3 to track1.mp3.

The only other two files you need except that track1.mp3 are "GOB.LIC" (tells the game what piece of track1.mp3 to play when) and "INTRO.STK" (the actual data file containing all of the game resources). So can theoretically delete the rest if it bothers you.

I'm a bit "shocked" that they compressed the track1.mp3 to a mere 7.5MB, though. Surely not the nicest quality...
