Find the lost treasure of the Toltecs!

Post by md5 »

After saving an old peddler from a band of bandits, Fenimore Fillmore finds out about three skulls that will unlock the lost treasure of the Toltecs! It's up to him to find the golden skulls and the treasure, before the bandits do!

The ScummVM Team is pleased to announce support for 3 Skulls of the Toltecs.

So grab your copies of the DOS versions of the game and start playing in the latest daily build of ScummVM and help us with the testing, while enjoying this great cartoon western adventure game!

As usual all bugs should be reported to our bug tracker.

You can find a list of data files in the data files page on our wiki.

For further information, check out the bug submission guidelines.

Omygosh.

$300 it's being listed for on Amazon.

Hopefully I can find someone stupid on Ebay. :)

Is this the correct version of the game?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fenimore-Fillmo ... 20ce04b9bc

It looks different from the other copies on Ebay and it's also about $400 cheaper as well.

There was a release of the 2nd game in the series that included a free copy of the this but I'm not sure if it wasn't only for German/French editions.

Did a quick run through of the intro video and the first scene using English and German copies of the game (I have both).

Some odd transparency issues were present in the original release [Fenimore's shadow over coloured ground and the F5 screen] but I downloaded the daily build again just now and these were sorted.

I raised a minor bug.

I had that happen to me once, but it seemed a bit random. I haven't seen it since I added code to clear some palette-related arrays on startup (because the Valgrind memory debugger warned about uninitialized values), but I don't know for sure if that's what was causing it.

Is there at least a demo for this while I continue to look for a reasonably priced copy?

Cheers. :)

Looks like once upon a time there must have been - http://www.game-nostalgia.com/clips/3sk ... _demo.html That video clearly shows "View" and "Play" demo options. Whilst the game has the same look the menu/credits look different to what was released - it could well have been an early copy for publishers, etc.

Sadly for you I've never seen a download.

Judging by the comments, the game engine has a detection entry for a "3 Skulls of the Toltecs German Demo version", but I don't know where to find it.

Please remember that this game was given for free on the sequels... In this case, there's a sticker on the jacket of westerner mentioning it. It should be really cheap if you buy those versions.
