Multitasking in iOS 6.1

I have been using ScummVM 1.5 on my iPad 3 under iOS 6.1, and so far so good, but multitasking seems to be broken. App switching results in the ScummVM app being reloaded from start when I switch back to the app. Not the most annoying thing ever (and everything else *does* seem to be working!), but I do have to respecify pointer mode and reload a save each time I want to be naughty and check a walkthrough :twisted:. Is anyone else having this problem?
