It would also be helpful if you indicated what version of ScummVM you are running? If it is the version from Google Play, that would be v1.5.0 and is very outdated.
If you continue to have problems, try installing the v1.6.0 stable build or v1.7.0git development build from the buildbot APKs. See this thread for details and pitfalls for doing this:

I've an HTC Desire C and have been trying to get the save function working for games not fully integrated in ScummVM (TM!). I could press and hold the Home button to bring up the ScummVM menu but I was stumped at this point.
I've now got the Smart Status Bar app and the Hackers keyboard app this combination allows me to pull down the status bar and get at the Hackers keyboard (permanent notification needs to be set and you have to have it as your default keyboard), this then allow mes to press L or S (load/save or whatever) for games that don't have the save/load buttons enabled in ScummVM. If I find a better workaround I will post up.
(running 1.7.0)

I've got the same issue. Just upgraded from an S3 and Samsung have altered the function of the menu button so it now shows the last apps you used. Unless the game has a save function in the inventory (like Amazon Queen) I can't get to the menus. Is there a way to get to the menu on an S5 that I haven't found?
I'm running v 1.7.0

Hey all,
just got an S5 and ran into the same problem. After two days, much frustration and so many open tabs, I have a solution, two in fact.
First, if you HOLD down the left hand key, the Multi tab thing, and ta-da, menu =)
Second, if you're trying to play Monkey 2 and you get the copy protection, the keyboard input doesn't really work and once you dismiss it you can't get it back. Install Hacker's Keyboard

and take a look at this page:
<<http://android.stackexchange.com/questi ... e-keyboard>>
for instructions on how to make it active in the notifications bar. This way you can pull it up whenever you need it, and problem solved, both of them.
