Files with the same name in Gabriel Knight 2

I am a newbie using Scummvm, and I have been trying to combine the files to play Gabriel Knight 2 as it says here:

But when I went to CD 3 I found that there are several files in the MOVIES folder that match those that had already been in the previous folder, they have the same name so I do not know what to do, if I replace them or ignore them, Could you help me with that?

The page you link to has the following on the topic:

• Rename the RESOURCE.SFX from each CD to RESSFX.00<cdnumber>, and the RESOURCE.AUD from each CD to RESAUD.00<cdnumber>, to match the corresponding RESSCI.00<cdnumber> file that exists on each CD.
• It should be safe to replace any other files from later CDs that were copied already from earlier CDs.

So it seems to me that you can use the file from any CD (it is probably the same file present on several CDs?), except for RESOURCE.SFX and RESOURCE.AUD that need to be renamed.

We all weigh less than one: 630.VMD that in the folder with the content of the previous CDs weighs 1.02 Mb while in CD 3 weighs 1, 04 Mb, the same goes for the file 2120.VMD on CD4.
what makes me ask if it is a file with a different content.

Oh right. I remember now that this was already discussed in the past. They are actually the same video, but for some reason Sierra re-encoded them, resulting in slightly different sizes. So it does not matter from which CD you take the file.
