We need Android developers to help out with the ScummVM Android port, and possibly become dedicated Android porters for ScummVM.
Outstanding tasks include:
- Support for modern Android OS versions (11 or higher).
- Merge with the ResidualVM Android app, and support for the 3d hardware accelerated engines that are now developed with ScummVM.
- Storage Access Framework support and resolution of existing issues
- Fixes for the pause / resume code
- Work on portrait orientation mode issues
- Improved virtual keyboard.
- Text-to-Speech integration.
- Look into Dynamic Delivery support.
- More testing on actual devices (smartphones, tablets, TVs).
- More testing on the extended Android ecosystem eg. devices such as Amazon's Kindle running FireOS.
