Hello everyone!
I have browsed around a lot on the forums and read different approaches how to get Grim Fandango running on a macbook. Tho i havent seen one for OSX Lion. Maybe its not any difference from getting it to run on a Snow leopard but i would like to have some confirmation on that.
If i understood it right. The steps i have to do are:
1. Getting all Grim Fandango files copied into a directory. both cds files should be in the same directory with no subdirectory in it.
2. Downloading and installing Xcode. and follow the guide here: http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/r ... ango_Patch.
I have two question tho:
Is it the "without a windows installation" guide i should follow?
And do i need to download something in addition to xcode to follow these steps? like the patch for Grim Fandango?
And after this the game should be playable via ResidualVMs. Is there anything essential that im missing out?
I havent tried any of the steps in point 2 yet as i havent got hold of the right Grim Fandango files. Working on it as we speak. Is there any specifics i should know about in the guide in step 2?
Edit: Which xcode version should i download?
I really want this game to get running on my new Macbook as i will soon have a 13 hours long bustrip from Toronto to New York which would be very boring without this game! Hope kind soul out there could help me out with some explaining/directions.
Best regards
Gurrmo
EDIT: I got it working now! got subtitles for the cutscenes! That is a sign that the patch worked right?
