The engine author worked hard for supporting Thimbleweed Park and it seems he's now offering very good performance.
Long story short, given his first solution (engge) suffered from serious bugs (design bugs?), he switched to a brand new engine (engge2) which fixes all the issues.
But, whistl engge was written in C++ (and thus eventually easy to be included in scummvm), the new engge2 is written in NIM.
How do you devs see this project overall ?
engge / engge2 a confusing open source solution?

This is indeed a great project. It's a bit of a pity that he switched to a different language, so if anyone ever will want to add this engine to the ScummVM, there will be significantly more work. But anyway, it is easier to work with sources than reversing it from the scratch.
