So I wanted to get Syberia running on my Miyoo mini...
and noticed it only works with the Mac version due to the engine. Okey, I got it on GOG, it comes with a .pkg file that I managed to extract, now everything is in one large file called "Scripts" .. I mean.. am I gonna have to set up a whole virtual machine to get the gamefiles? How do I extract this on windows? Having zero luck with pkgutil...

7-zip might suffice (with a bit of renaming, as mentioned in the linked thread). I've tested with unar in Linux.
The instructions for acquiring the data files from the official installers are in the ScummVM wiki, but you'll probably need to read the linked thread for tools to do this in Windows.

Thank you so much for this, I was having no luck on my own. Extracting the pkg file, then renaming it something.cpio.gz, extracting that into a something.cpio file and THEN extracting that file yet again with 7zip was something I never would have tried myself lol.Praetorian wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2024 1:22 pm This was discussed recently on the forums here:

BS1...BS2?
Broken Sword?
are we still talking Syberia?
does the Miyoo use ogles es as render target?
there are no shaders written (yet) for that target
see here: https://bugs.scummvm.org/ticket/14357

Re: So I wanted to get Syberia running on my Miyoo mini...
That explains why I couldnt get it to work then I suppose.. but I could swear I saw some video of it running on the miyoo mini. So why does the Mac version run on PC but not on the miyoo mini, is it down to these shaders? I mean BS1 and 2, Curse of Monkey island and even Grim Fandango is up and running now on it, Syberia needs something different because its Mac? Please excuse my technical ignorance. If I check inside ScummVM my options are default or software so cant really figure out if its running OpenGL.Raziel wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 9:18 am BS1...BS2?

Syberia won't run on my AmigaOS4 target too, so i feel your pain
and it's because of the missing shaders...so I'm pretty sure it's the same for you.
different gfx targets need different help, or shaders, in our case

Okey.. damn. Would have been such a sweet game to play on a small handheld like that.

I was hoping some progress had been made since this vid was posted.

yes, I'm longing for it too.
it never came out for my platform and i only shottly played the first screens on a PC...I was hooked
Problem is the shaders need to be written from scratch iirc and no one is on it, right now
