Plumbers don't wear ties (3DO) doesn't run properly

Post by Rex00 »

I dumped the files from the disc, added the folder in Scummvm and started the game. I already mapped the keys to my keyboard but none of them worked except the mouse. I don't know if it's supposed to work like that so please let me know.

But the main problem however is that the emulator isn't respecting my in-game choices. For example, in the parking lot when I choose the first option, it plays it fine, but right after it finishes it goes on to play the second option as well, which obviously isn't how it is supposed to be.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any help will be appreciated.

As we explained on Discord, we do not support pirated software. Also, there is no need to run some emulators.

I'm not on your discord, and I don't know how you came to this conclusion that it's pirated software when I clearly stated that I dumped the files.

I also don't understand what you mean by "there is no need to run some emulators". This is the 3DO version that is supported in ScummVM according to your compatibility page.

I think that was a reply to "the emulator isn't respecting my in-game choices" in your first post. It is unclear what you mean by "emulator", but sev was probably trying to say that ScummVM itself is not an emulator. It doesn't run the original 3DO executable, but instead is a port of that executable to new platforms, and thus replaces the original executable. There is more details on the wiki: https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php?title=About

Regarding your original question, I am not familiar with the game myself and don't own it, so I don't have any answer. I see that support for the 3DO version of the game is recent and was only added in the 2.8.0 release. And since the game is not that common, it is possible that it has not been played by many, and that bugs are present.
