optimize VMD and RBT format,

Hello,

I bought phantasmagoria in 1995 and SCummVM allow it to run smoothly on my recent PC
You can find a simplified version (wthout CD on the net ), with res....AUD optimized

But VMD and RBT files are massive despite a low resolution (and very very low quality for today)

I wonder if it is possible to reduce them by using converted file in a more recent format (and codec) and mapping this ressources automatically to make it work in the game

Moreover using other kind of files can allow size optimization and also IA upscaling and deblock for these kind of ressources

No, it is not possible currently. Moreover, if anyone does it, there will be a problem with distributing their work.
