Re: Speech Problems with Simon the Sorcerer
A wild guess, but if you used the installer it's quite possible that it only copied some of the files to the hard disk, and left the speech file on the CD. ScummVM expects to find all the files in the same folder. (There's a page on the ScummVM web site that lists the necessary files, but I can't seem to reach it at the moment.)ragefist wrote:Ok, my problem: I got sound, but no speech. The point I was trying to make was that unless the original installer actually unpacks files (like for instance The Feeble Files does), you don't need to run it at all. Instead, you can simply copy the data files listed on the Game data files page to a folder on your hard disk, and point ScummVM to it.ragefist wrote:maybe you should know, that I used the DOS Installer, because the other Installer doesnt work for me, it says that it doesnt support Windows NT or something like that
In this case, the installer probably didn't copy the SIMON.WAV or SIMON.VOC (different versions of the game use different names for it) file.
