Hello all,
I'm considering buying Simon 1 & 2, but before I do I figured I should make sure that these versions (the Double Pack that is advertised here:
http://www.adventuresoft.com/acatalog/S ... games.html
) do actually play on ScummVM. There seem to be two different versions too, one for Win9x, and one for Me, 2000 & XP. Are they the same data files, just shipped with a different interpreter, do we know?

Re: Simon the Sorceror Double Pack
I bought the Simon 1/2 double pack from Adventure Soft, but it was a few years ago. I don't remember if there were any different versions to choose from then. Anyway, the cardboard box I got then had two CDs, one for each game, and each of them contained both the Windows and DOS talkie versions of each games. (But not the DOS non-talkie versions.)spookypeanut wrote:Hello all,

I think the official patch to make the games XP compatible is just a replacement EXE file, so I imagine it wouldn't matter which one you pick.
There's also a Simon 1/2 double pack which comes in a DVD case. (At the time of writing, there's a picture of the cover here but that store lists it as temporarily sold out.) It has only one CD, so from what I remember it only contains the Windows talkie versions. On the other hand, it also contains the Simon Puzzle Pack (fairly well supported by the development version of ScummVM) and Pinball game (won't be supported).
To the best of my knowledge, the Windows and DOS talkies are equally well supported by ScummVM these days. (This wasn't always the case, e.g. a music tempo bug that only affected the DOS version was fixed in ScummVM 0.9.0.) If there are any visible differences between them, they are minor.
