We currently require the md5 details for:

Any other rare language versions, which ScummVM still doesn't recognise.

If you have any of the above versions, could you please try the current ScummVM snapshot and post the details reported by ScummVM. Original versions only, no cracked or modified versions.

I need some more details on that Polish version.
Is the Polish version of Simon 2 an official release or fan translation?

Is the Polish version of Simon 2 for DOS or Windows?

Is the Polish version on disk or CD?

Start ScummVM from the command line and post the details reported by ScummVM as you start the game. ie
scummvm -d0 simon2

Run it, it should complain about unknown game version and will print out all required MD%, which you copy and paste then here to this thread. To run it you will need to add manually something like:

[simont1-floppy]
description=Simon the Sorcerer 1 (Floppy)
gameid=simon1
path=blah/blah/foo

I added details for that German version of Simon the Sorcerer 2 (Windows CD) to ScummVM CVS, the change will be in the next ScummVM snapshot.

I didn't know there were multiple releases for some languages, I wonder what the difference between the two German Windows versions is.

Hello,

these are the md5sum's I get for my Simon 2 CD (German)

3bdf85dc57c1abff8f05416b4571198f *GSPTR30
ee92d1f84893195a60449f2430d07285 *ICON.DAT
9e5db40b9b5aae6041294aae86dc390d *SIMON2.GME
6de6292c9ac11bfb2e70fdb0f773ba85 *STRIPPED.TXT
2082f8d02075e590300478853a91ffd9 *TBLLIST

and of course 40d829d651a09c487e45ee327496db42 *SIMON2.OGG

The CD was part of an "20 Top Games" Collection.

I once played it using a pre 0.8.0 CVS, now the game is no longer recognised. If you need further Details, tell me what you need.

EDIT!! Just to be shure... the simon ogg was NOT on my CD, I created it using the compress_simon tool :D
