Backlight timer

Post by unitism »

Hi!

Is there any setting I can turn on the backlight for the whole scummvm session? Now I have to always adjust the backlight timer to 60 seconds manually from the screen options. Not a big problem but...

ScummVM really gives meaning to my symbian (v3 E70 \o/ ). Thanks to development team!

No its not possible with unsigned applications, since keeping the display active needs capabilities.

Hi!

i found myself in the same spot as you getting annoyed with the backlight turning off.

Found a program for v3 similar to "Torch" for v2 called S60SpotOn. You can find it at http://www.outbank.de/index.php?id=29#c230

Just run it simultaneously as scummvm as any other application!

Anotherguest: would it be possible to update the code in a way that it discards the "keep alive" calls if they aren't successful? This way people could sign it for themselves with devcerts if this was really bugging them.

Then I would need to create a signed version of scummvm for people to use, since Signed applications are using a different range of UIDs
